Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients FMCG engineering team and play a key role in keeping our production facility running efficiently, safely, and reliably. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern automated equipment within a continuous manufacturing environment, where your technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset will directly contribute to operational performance.

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of process, packaging, and site equipment. Working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team, you will help ensure minimal downtime and maximum production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on processing machinery, packaging equipment, and utilities Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures to minimise disruption to production Support the installation, commissioning, and repair of plant machinery and facilities Perform workshop duties, including machine repairs and component fabrication Assist manufacturing teams with line adjustments, changeovers, and technical support Identify and implement engineering improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime Maintain accurate engineering documentation and maintenance records Work collaboratively with external contractors and engineering partners on site projects Train and support colleagues on the safe use and maintenance of equipment

The Person Engineering qualification such as HNC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering Experience working in a high-speed automated manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG or food production) Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems

Experience with automated machinery, packaging equipment, and site services Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively Strong commitment to health and safety Desirable:

Experience with integrated control systems Knowledge of automatic packaging and palletising systems Familiarity with AC drives and/or servo drive systems Important Information:
