Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Telford, Shropshire

Salary: £49,516 per annum

Shift: 3 Shift Rotation (Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly automated manufacturing operation based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern production environment where continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering excellence are at the forefront of the business.

As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, supporting operational performance, and driving improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across manufacturing equipment and site services.
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving machine reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational objectives.
About You
  • A recognised Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery and automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
