Hybrid (UK-based) Birmingham Start: ASAP Rate: £500-600 per day About the Role We're seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Pricing Project Lead to join the organisation during a critical phase of strategic transformation. This role sits at the heart of our commercial function and will lead a high-impact project focused on optimising food pricing , enhancing margin performance, and building long-term pricing capability.

You will act as the bridge between Finance, Commercial, Category, and Operations , shaping pricing strategy, strengthening analytical frameworks, and delivering a robust execution road map that enables sustainable growth in a complex, fast-moving food environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end food pricing transformation project , from diagnostic to design, implementation, and embedding. Own commercial pricing analysis, including elasticity, competitor benchmarking, promotional effectiveness, and customer behaviour insights. Develop actionable pricing models, tools, and decision frameworks that improve margin delivery and enhance commercial agility. Partner with Commercial and Category teams to translate insights into practical price recommendations and customer value propositions.

Create robust governance frameworks for price-setting, price changes, and promotional activity. Work closely with Finance to ensure pricing strategy aligns with P&L targets, forecasting, and financial risk management. Lead workshops and steerco updates, providing senior stakeholders with clarity on progress, timelines, and expected financial impact. Upskill internal teams, embedding stronger pricing discipline and commercial capability across the organisation. What We're Looking For A seasoned commercial finance or pricing leader , ideally with experience in the food, FMCG, retail, or hospitality sectors.

Proven track record of leading pricing transformation projects or major commercial change programmes. Strong financial modelling capability and ability to translate complex data into clear commercial actions. Experience working with large product portfolios, cost volatility, and high-volume pricing environments. Excellent stakeholder management-credible, influencing, and able to challenge constructively.
