Finance Manager – Customer Experience & Assets

Organisation: Housing Plus Group

Salary: £60,540 per annum

Location: Telford / Hybrid Working (minimum two days per week in the office)

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week

Closing Date: Friday 31 July 2026

This role is one of two Finance Manager appointments being recruited in phase one of the campaign and will play a critical role in strengthening leadership capacity, improving financial insight and ensuring the organisation has the expertise required to support customers, colleagues and communities.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Act as the lead Finance Business Partner to Regional Directors and the Executive Director of Customer Experience
  • Provide financial leadership and reporting support across customer experience, repairs and housing management services
  • Support operational leaders with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and decision-making
  • Ensure all financial reporting is delivered accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Support regulatory reporting and audit requirements
  • Manage internal and external audits relating to repairs and housing services
  • Work collaboratively with ICT teams to improve repairs data quality and reporting integrity
  • Support continuous improvement in systems, processes and financial controls
  • Develop robust financial methodologies for routine maintenance and housing service costs
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting, cost capture and value‑for‑money reporting
  • Lead, develop and motivate a team comprising Accountants and Assistant Accountants
  • Support transformation projects, systems developments and process redesign initiatives
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial information supports effective service delivery and performance management
About You

This role requires an experienced finance leader who can combine strong technical financial expertise with excellent stakeholder management and people leadership skills.

Key Requirements
  • A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • A minimum of three years' experience operating within a senior finance role
  • Experience of leading and developing finance teams
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting expertise
  • Experience of business partnering with senior operational stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial audiences
  • Experience of identifying risks, developing solutions and driving continuous improvement
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A collaborative leadership style and commitment to developing high-performing teams
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Experience with in social housing, repairs services or customer-facing operational environments would be advantageous
