Financial Controller - Telford | Manufacturing Environment | Senior Leadership Team £65,000 to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Are you a commercially minded Financial Controller looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction of a business?

We're exclusively recruiting for a key leadership position within a well-established international manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the UK Senior Management Team, this is a broad and highly visible role that combines financial leadership, commercial partnering, governance, and strategic decision-making. This is far more than a traditional Financial Controller position. You'll be a trusted adviser to the leadership team, helping drive performance, improve profitability, support growth initiatives, and ensure robust financial and regulatory compliance across the UK operation.

• You’ll take full ownership of the UK finance function while leading a small Finance and IT team. Key responsibilities will include:
• Financial reporting, controls and compliance
• Budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning
• Cashflow, treasury, banking and working capital management
• Standard costing, manufacturing performance analysis and investment appraisals
• Commercial pricing, tender reviews and business partnering
• UK statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance
• Company Secretarial responsibilities and corporate governance
• Driving process improvement, automation and stronger financial insights
• Supporting operational, supply chain and commercial leaders across the business
• As a member of the senior leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping business decisions and helping the organisation achieve its strategic objectives.

• We’re keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who can operate both strategically and hands‑on.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar leadership role
• Strong manufacturing sector experience
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and statutory reporting
• Experience managing audits, compliance and financial controls
• ERP system experience (SAP advantageous)
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with in an international or multinational business environment
• Most importantly, you’ll be a proactive leader who enjoys being close to the business, challenging convention and helping drive continuous improvement.
