Prince Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business based in Telford. They are looking for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Assistant will predominantly focus on purchase ledger but will be willing to take on additional duties over time and cover accounts receivable during annual leave.

You will be responsible for:

* Daily banking and maintenance of the cashbook

* Processing supplier invoices

* Raising supplier payments (cheques and BACS requests)

* Raising expenses payments for other employees

* Coding of the credit card bill monthly

* Maintaining any portals and spreadsheets linked to suppliers

* Maintaining spreadsheets for data analysis

* Monthly CIS declarations

* Create journals at month end relating to purchase ledger transactions

* Answer the phone and direct calls accordingly

* Prepare schedules for yearend audit and work with auditors as required

* Maintaining customer/ supplier relationships and improving response and delivery times

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will need to have worked in a similar role. You will be a team player, willing to take on additional tasks when needed. You will be a confident communicator.
