Digital Planning Improvement Officer
12‑month contract. Salary £26,403 - £28,142 per annum. Scale 4. 37 hrs per week.
Location:
Telford, Shropshire, UK.
This role is part of the Development Management Team. In this role you will review and enhance existing GIS data sets to ensure high‑quality information is available for both corporate and public use. You will update the Local Street Gazetteer, capturing key street‑level assets and ensuring their accuracy and completeness. In addition, you will compare and refine BLPU records and compare them to Building Control data to support the delivery of a robust spatial data set that underpins Building Control and Planning Services.
This role will be hybrid, working from home and at our offices across the Borough when required.
Responsibilities- Have proven experience of using ARC GIS and be confident and accurate with gathering, interrogating and recording data.
- Have some knowledge of British Standard 7666.
- Have excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and methodical documentation. Strong communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and evidence gathering.
- Be organised with good project and time‑management skills.
