We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join our team at Telford Stars, a drug and alcohol treatment and support service for people impacted by their own or someone else's use of alcohol or drugs.
Telford Stars is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Well-Being Practitioner (MHWP) to join our dynamic team. As a leading community drug and alcohol service provider, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals dealing with substance use issues.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you would provide high quality interventions supporting service user who are experiencing low level mental health issues. You will be expected to facilitate an Emotional Regulation group at our main base in Priorslee but also to facilitate the groups in our other localities. You will carry a small caseload working with service users on a 1-1 basis, delivering interventions.

To deliver specified wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions, in line with best available evidence, under close supervision from a practitioner psychologist or CBT therapist including:a. Person Specification Qualifications- A graduate certificate (Level
6) or postgraduate certificate (Level
7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
- Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice
- Demonstrate support for the values and beliefs of the Trust working in a trauma informed way, promoting social inclusion and challenging stigma.
