An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly motivated CT Radiographer to be based at Darlington Memorial Hospital with rotation through Bishop Auckland and occasional visits to the other sites.
It is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to join a friendly team and gain experience in all aspects of CT scanning whilst working in a re-designed department with 5 new scanners cross trust that support a wide range of referrers. The successful candidate will be provided with an induction period, during which time it will be ensured that they are equipped to perform all of the CT procedures undertaken throughout the 24/7 service.
CT Radiographers will be required to participate in the 24/7 shift pattern.
They will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be keen to develop and support the provision of a patient focused quality service. They should have evidence of effective teamwork and leadership experience whilst ensuring a patient centred approach to care at all times.
Responsibilities- Efficient and effective running of the CT lists, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to provide a safe and efficient environment for the patient.
- Participate in the supervision of student Radiographers.
- Maintain good working relationships with all Departments and be proactive at all times.

Requirements- You must be able to produce all certificates stated essential in the person specification or you will not be able to complete pre‑employment checks.
We provide hospital services from two acute sites – Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester‑Le‑Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
