Female Support Worker

About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you'll find more than a job - you'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Every day, you'll make a meaningful difference while being part of a team that truly values you. Your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. Together, we make a real difference - for the people we support and for you.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

You will be supporting two ladies in their 60s with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy (buccal medication required for one). They enjoy getting out and about — from shopping trips, pub meals, bowling, and drives, to quieter moments people-watching. They also love having fun, with a cheeky sense of humour (including games like hide and seek!).

Both ladies communicate non-verbally, so you'll build strong connections through consistency and understanding. You'll provide a mix of 1:1 and 2:1 support, including personal care, meal preparation, medication, and supporting healthy routines. There's a focus on encouraging activity, choice, and wellbeing, including reintroducing activities like swimming.

Shifts include a mix of early and late patterns, with alternating weekends.

About you
  • Outgoing and engaging, with a positive energy
  • Encouraging independence, choice, and healthy living
  • Comfortable supporting personal care and manual handling
  • Confident in the kitchen and able to prepare meals
  • Patient and emotionally aware, especially on more sensitive days
  • A full UK driver (automatic vehicle)

Experience is desirable but not essential — we'll support you to learn.

Rewards that make a difference
  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Supported 'Learn to Drive' scheme
  • Salary advance scheme
  • High Street Discounts
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension
  • Industry leading training
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us
