As a result of continued growth, Health Hero are seeking to recruit a Primary Care Centre Assistant (PCCA) to undertake driving, receptionist and base duties to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin on a part‑time, permanent basis.

Main duties of the jobAs an Primary Care Centre Assistant (PCCA), you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin locality.
About usHealth Hero Integrated Care delivers urgent and out-of-hours healthcare services across Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) and Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (STW). Working alongside NHS partners, our teams help patients access safe, responsive and appropriate care.
Our Integrated Urgent Care services support patients across both localities, providing clinical assessment and urgent care outside normal GP opening hours. Services include:
- Telephone clinical assessment and consultation
- Video consultations
- Face‑to‑face appointments at our treatment centres
- Home visits for patients unable to travel
- Clinical assessment and advice following NHS 111 referrals
- In‑hours care coordination, helping patients and healthcare professionals access the most appropriate care pathway
Our services bring together clinical, operational and care coordination colleagues to deliver responsive, patient‑centred care. Whether providing advice remotely, seeing a patient at a treatment centre, coordinating care or visiting them at home, our teams help patients access the right support.

About the role:
As an Primary Care Centre Assistant (PCCA), you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin locality.
We offer a rolling 4‑week rota pattern, agreed following a successful interview, providing a structured and supportive approach to flexible working. You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of care to patients across the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire area, working alongside experienced clinicians and operational colleagues.
This varied and rewarding role involves providing non‑clinical support to clinicians and patients using the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service, helping ensure people receive the care and support they need when they need it most.
