The Senior Specialist, Facility Services is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, safety, and operational performance and workplace environment for Schneider Sites.
(Telford, Coventry, Smethwick, Chippenham, Warrington – with potential to support Leeds and Scarborough when required)
The role ensures that facilities, infrastructure, and support services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant legislation, providing a high-quality workplace experience for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
What will you do?- Lead facilities operations across multiple Schneider Electric sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplaces.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance, driving high standards of building performance and service delivery.
- Oversee key building services including HVAC, electrical systems, lighting, lifts, water systems, and critical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements, including contractor management and permit-to-work processes.
- Manage and develop relationships with facilities suppliers and service partners, monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs.
- Deliver high-quality workplace services, including cleaning, catering, reception, and waste management.
- Act as the main facilities contact for employees, site leadership teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead facilities projects such as refurbishments, fit-outs, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and employee experience.
- Provide operational updates, performance reporting, and recommendations to support continuous improvement across the estate.
- Strong facilities management and operational leadership skills.
- Excellent contractor, supplier, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of UK health, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Technical understanding of building services and infrastructure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Technically competent and knowledgeable
- 5+ years’ experience managing facilities operations within a commercial or corporate environment.
- IOSH Certification
- Experience managing contractors, budgets, compliance, and workplace services.
- Strong understanding of building services, maintenance practices, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and relevant IT systems.
- City & Guild Level 3/NVQ
- Relevant Facilities Management qualification (e.g., IWFM, BIFM or equivalent) desirable.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification desirable.
