About the RoleJoin us as Senior Tender Manager, Solution Centre UK&I, leading our Tendering and Quotation Management function and playing a pivotal role in driving business growth across the region.
The Solution Centre UK&I is responsible for the tendering and delivery of both single and Multi-Business Unit customer projects, spanning Categories A, B, and C across varying levels of complexity and sectors. With an annual turnover of approximately £170 million and a track record of sustained growth over the last five years, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused leader to help shape the next phase of our journey towards £200 million and beyond

As a key member of the leadership team, you will define winning bid strategies, lead a high‑performing team, and ensure the delivery of competitive, innovative, and profitable customer solutions. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial expertise, and operational excellence to maximise customer value and business performance.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Growth- Develop and execute tendering strategies that support profitable business growth and market expansion.
- Partner with sales, operations, engineering, and business unit leaders to identify and secure high-value opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement across tendering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance competitiveness and efficiency.
- Lead the end‑to‑end management of complex Capex and Opex tender opportunities, from RFQ analysis through to final submission and contract award.
- Interpret customer requirements and translate them into compelling technical and commercial solutions.
- Ensure the development of accurate cost estimates, pricing strategies, and commercial proposals that maximise profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
- Maintain governance and compliance standards across all bids, ensuring contractual obligations, commercial risks, and legal requirements are effectively managed.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of tendering professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Build organisational capability through mentoring, talent development, and succession planning.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, contractual, and operational risks throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and partners to support successful outcomes.
- Provide clear recommendations and decision support to senior leadership on complex business opportunities.
- Proven experience leading complex tendering and bid management activities from qualification through to submission and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of financial performance, profitability drivers, risk assessment, and business case development.
- Ability to develop winning strategies that align customer needs, market dynamics, and organisational objectives.
- Experience developing competitive pricing models that balance customer value, market positioning, and margin optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation practices.
