CNC Machinist - Double Days
A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Machinist.
Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for:
- Online programming and operating of CNC machinery
- Selection of tooling and set up of cutter and holders
- Selection and set up of work‑piece holding devices – fixtures, vices and clamping systems
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
- Monitoring of machine performance, making adjustments to program data (speeds, feeds, etc)
- In-process and post-process inspection using both visual and precision measuring tool methods
- Operation of Heidenhain and Fanuc CNC control systems
- Create components within specification to engineering drawings
- Work with the programming team to feedback information for machining programme efficiency improvements
- Support in all aspects of fixture assembly cell manufacturing
The successful candidate should have a minimum of an apprenticeship and three‑axis CNC experience.
