Quality Inspector / Packer

Newport, Shropshire

£12.71 per hour

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Are you looking for a role where attention to detail really matters? We are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and growing manufacturing business in Newport that is looking for a Quality Inspector / Packer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is looking to develop a long‑term career within a supportive production environment.

The Role
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Carrying out visual and dimensional quality checks on manufactured components
  • Using measuring equipment and gauges to verify product specifications
  • Packing finished products safely and accurately to customer requirements
  • Reading and following production instructions and basic engineering drawings
  • Completing quality records and production paperwork
  • Recording information accurately using spreadsheets and production documents
  • Assisting with finishing and preparation of products where required
  • Supporting goods‑in and goods‑out activities
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets and quality standards are met

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse, packing or quality inspection would be advantageous
  • Experience using measuring tools, verniers or inspection equipment would be beneficial but not essential
  • A quality‑focused mindset and pride in producing accurate work
  • Safety boots preferred
