Working Hours:
1x 24 hours per week 06.00 – 18.00 Saturday and Sunday
1x A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00
Role OverviewThe role is to ensure the Slitting machines areoperatingto maximum efficiency, ensuring that designs are Slit within a targettimeframeand to the customer specification. To organise ancillary products/equipment to provide a well organised and safe place of work including, WIP and finished goods ensuring materials are available asrequiredfor the next process (The Customer). A clean environment is key to helpmaintainbest practices.
Roles and Responsibilities- Ensure health & safety requirements within the Conversion department are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure that all Slitter operators areoperatingin a safe manner
- Tobe responsible forthe ancillary equipment of the Slitting machines
- To minimise downtime and waste within the Conversion department
- To develop the efficiency of machine performance by effective trouble shooting and implementing improvements using CI techniques.
- Tobe responsible forthe consumable items used within the Slitting department.
- To effectivelyoperatewithin the parameters of schedule, ensuring that set times/run times are adhered to and equipment is areready for the next job.
- Take due care and attention of equipment and resources with particular regardto Health & Safety, hygiene, goodhousekeepingand basic maintenance.
- To ensure that Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures are followed at all times, including compliance with BRC criteria.
- Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure continued quality and avoid unnecessary downtime issues
- To ensure all paperwork is ready for the job and next shift
- Locate materials ready for the job and new jobs pending
