A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Engineer.
As CNC Engineer, you will have a proven track record and experience in machining aluminium diecast components on high speed 5 axis machines.
Working from their manufacturing facility, the CNC Engineer will be responsible for:
- Support production on a daily basis.
- Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of the machine performance, fault finding and diagnostics.
- Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
- Change tools, track tool life, investigate tool breakages.
- Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation as well as assist in the generation of SWIs.
- Set procedures and standards
- Drive TPM and 5S
- Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly
- Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
The successful candidate should be apprentice served or have a formal college certification and proven CNC machine programmning and setting in production environment.
