CNC Setter Operator

Coventry Pay Rate: £21.07 - £22.48 via PAYE Contract Type: 12 Month contract Shifts Available:
The night shifts will also have an uplift of 33%, current shifts are 22:15-6:00 (Mon/Thurs) 18:00-2:00 (Fri) Day shift will either be the morning shift; 6:00- 14:00 (Mon/Thurs) 6:00-12:45 (Fri) or afternoon shift; 14:00-22:15 (Mon/Thurs),12:45-18:45 (Fri) which may be rota shifts, afternoon shifts will also have a 14% uplift. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC turning centres, producing precision-engineered components to exacting quality standards. Working as part of a high-performing production team, you will be responsible for machine setup, changeovers, inspection activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring all products meet customer and aerospace industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities Set and operate multi-axis CNC turning centres safely and efficiently. Perform machine changeovers and setup activities. Produce components to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment. Record measurements and process data in line with company procedures. Complete offsets and tool adjustments as required. Perform tool setting activities, including tips and insert changes.

Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S initiatives. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance. Participate in continuous improvement and team-based problem-solving activities. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and customer requirements. Essential Experience Minimum 2 years' experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC machines. Experience working within a precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing environment. Apprenticeship trained or qualified machinist/engineer.
