Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Technical Compliance Coordinator on behalf of a market-leading fresh produce business based in Maidstone, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused individual with experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce to join a fast-paced technical team. Supporting supplier compliance and sustainability activities, you will play a key role in maintaining technical due diligence, food safety compliance and supplier approval processes across a global supply base.
Working closely with suppliers and internal departments, you will ensure technical documentation is maintained, supplier compliance is monitored and sustainability reporting is completed to meet both customer and legislative requirements.
The Role As Technical Compliance Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Liaising with suppliers to obtain, review and maintain due diligence documentation. Managing supplier approval records and maintaining approved supplier lists. Conducting supplier risk assessments and monitoring supplier compliance. Coordinating chemical surveillance testing and supporting traceability and recall exercises. Maintaining technical compliance records across internal and customer platforms. Collating and reporting supplier sustainability data, including food waste, carbon emissions and water usage.
Supporting continuous improvement across technical compliance and sustainability activities. About You We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: A degree in Food Science, Environmental Science or another Science-related discipline. Previous experience within a Technical, Quality or Compliance role in food manufacturing or fresh produce. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Good Microsoft Excel skills;
Power BI experience would be advantageous. The ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
