Salary & Hours

Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you would like to work fewer hours (a minimum of 12), we also have opportunities for you.

We require you to be available for shift work during specific periods of the week. We schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide you with at least three weeks' notice of your shifts. Flexibility outside the advertised times may still be considered.

• Understand your store's performance, know what the store team needs to do together to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Represent our values, welcome everyone, and follow our policies.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.
