About the role
We offer a starting hourly pay of £13.28, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25.
Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; flexible schedules available for those wanting 12 hours or fewer.
You will be responsible for- Serving customers with pride and ensuring a natural, high‑quality service.
- Being passionate and knowledgeable about store products and services.
- Working across the store, including picking and replenishment duties.
- Applying training to work safely and effectively while delivering excellent customer experience.
- Making decisions that benefit customers and deliver routines at the right time.
- Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understanding store performance and contributing to service, sales and profit goals.
- Handling merchandise with care to maintain quality.
- Acting as a brand ambassador and upholding Tesco values and policies.
- Accepting deliveries into the store when required.
- A passion for delivering exceptional service, greeting customers with a smile.
- Ability to build rapport so customers leave with a great shopping experience.
- Initiative to make customer‑focused decisions.
- Strong teamwork and open communication skills.
- Team spirit and celebration of successes.
- Reliability: being on time, well presented and be a brand ambassador.
