Pay and Hours

Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. You may work fewer hours – down to a minimum of 12 – and we would still welcome your application.

Shift Availability

The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have three weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. We support flexibility.

About the Role

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. This role is for proactive, do‑ers, offering variety and daily challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support colleagues in delivering great customer service.
  • Co‑ordinate a team to achieve area performance goals.
  • Provide on‑the‑job coaching and feedback to improve service.
  • Ensure the store remains safe, clean and organised.
  • Role model excellent customer service, ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
  • Communicate clearly to keep the team well informed.
  • Take lead responsibility when acting in charge.
  • Make efficient decisions and adapt to change.
  • Balance priorities, deliver beyond expectations.
  • Continuously seek ideas and opportunities to improve service.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 12 guaranteed hours per week, ideally 16.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership and customer service skills.
  • Flexible to work within the stated availability windows.
  • Must have passed the school leavers age for your country.
