One Stop - Customer Service Assistant

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast‑paced retail environment you will provide excellent customer service, stock shelves, process payments and maintain the store’s appearance.

• Know customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
• Encourage customers to give feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Work across all areas of the store—including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines—to meet customer needs.
• Apply training to work safely.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand how to help deliver profit.
• Live the company values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
• Clock in and out at the start and end of each shift to ensure accurate pay.
• Keep the store safe by following security procedures and wearing required safety equipment.
• Follow Think 25 policy when serving age‑restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self‑service checkouts, explaining steps to customers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, organized environment with clear aisles.
• At times, run the shift in the absence of Shift Leader or Store Manager.
• Follow all training to keep yourself, colleagues and the store safe and legal.
• For stores with a Post Office Local, undertake the Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check; failure will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
