The Primary Care division of Vital Healthcare has revenues of c.£150m in the German, Swiss and British markets enabled through its own commercial teams. High quality medical and diagnostic products are supplied for use in primary care, laboratory, and blue light settings. The division employs approximately 425 people in 3 countries.
Primary Care UK – consists of Williams Medical ( ) with revenues of c.£60M and SP Services ( ) with revenues of c.£10M both specialise in providing a wide range of medical, healthcare products and equipment to healthcare professionals and organisations.
Primary Care UK employs approximately 200 people across two purpose-built facilities, one in Telford, West Midlands England and one in Rhymney, South Wales.
Operating in the North of the UK, the Business Development Manager will be the main interface with Key account, Ambulance Trusts and Police Forces. The role will encompass all aspects of new business development, customer retention, business development planning and research.
This is a Field Based role with travelling to appointments and some time away from home may be required to deal with the geography, sales meetings, sales training events, conferences, exhibitions both in the UK and internationally.
Principal Accountability- To develop and implement plans in line with Company Strategic objectives for Account Territory
- To grow sales of the Company’s products in the specified account territory
- To develop new business to achieve targets and goals set as per your individual objectives
- To maintain and develop customer relationship management and opportunity pipeline information
- To identify relevant Bid and Tender opportunities completing opportunity analysis and relevant submissions
- Identify potential new customers and make contact in order that a sales proposition can be made
- Respond and follow up on all sales enquiries received from Business Development and Marketing Team
- Collate and share customer feedback and market intelligence to inform customer strategic approach
- To attend or host relevant promotional events providing report information
