Social Worker, Family Advocacy & Support Services

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for a range of key duties including:

Join Telford & Wrekin Council as a Senior Social Worker in the Adult's Safeguarding team, where your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and well‑being of vulnerable adults in our community.

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk, ensuring their needs and wishes are at the forefront of safeguarding processes.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi‑agency partners.
• Providing expert advice and support to junior social workers and other professionals within the team.
• Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
• Participating in safeguarding investigations and leading on complex cases that require a higher level of expertise.

• Registration with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in adult safeguarding, including knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases, demonstrating sound decision-making and problem‑solving skills.
• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
