Community Payback Supervisor

We are looking for a dedicated individual to supervise groups of offenders completing community payback placements. The role involves providing day‑to‑day supervision, ensuring safety and quality of work, and supporting participants to meet their community service commitments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of offenders during up to 7 hours of community work placement each day.
• Drive service vehicles to transport participants and equipment, where required.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out to high standards, providing guidance, safety oversight, and constructive feedback.
• Motivate and assess team performance to meet community improvement outcomes.
• Plan and support the execution of manual tasks such as clearing vegetation, building benches, refurbishing playgrounds, litter picking, and graffiti removal.

Qualifications & requirements

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence – automatic licences are not accepted.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom and compliance with Civil Service nationality rules.
• Experience supervising teams in a community or social care setting.
• Excellent communication skills, empathy and the ability to lead.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and a flexible schedule as required.
