Senior Social Worker job (Family Safeguarding Team) in Shropshire.

RATE: up to £30.57ph (umbrella, depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a diverse and complex caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning and interventions.

* Assess and manage risk, making informed, evidence-based decisions, including contributing to safeguarding and court proceedings.

* Apply relevant legislation, policies and best practice to deliver effective, child-focused services.

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners.

* Deliver a range of interventions, reviewing outcomes and adapting plans where required.

* Maintain accurate case records and prepare high-quality reports, including court documentation.

* Undertake preventative work to reduce risk and support families to achieve positive outcomes.

* Contribute to effective multi-agency working and continuous service improvement.

Social Worker Experience & Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Experience working with children and families
- Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- Strong knowledge of children's legislation, policies and statutory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, assessment and relationship-building skills.
- Current enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
