Telford/Hybrid 2 days onsite per week

I'm looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join a high-profile enterprise environment, working on live Internal Applications within Tax Administration. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping critical services running, supporting batch processing and delivering controlled change across a complex application landscape.
The ideal candidate
You're someone who takes ownership of what you build and support. You're comfortable working in a live enterprise environment where stability, controlled change and getting things done all matter.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, enhancing and supporting enterprise Java applications
- Supporting live services and BAU production environments
- Working with Web Logic application servers
- Writing and supporting complex Oracle SQL queries
- Managing code through Git and controlled release processes
- Building and managing dependencies with Maven
- Working with Kubernetes and containerised platforms
- Supporting batch and operational activities
- Balancing live-service support with ongoing change and improvement
Required Experience:
- Java - essential
- Web Logic - essential

- Kubernetes / containerised platforms - essential
Also desirable:
- Shell scripting
- Linux
- Command-line tooling
- Experience supporting batch processing or operational workloads
