Quality Engineer Telford - 2 days on site a week £450 a day Inside IR35 Requires Active BPSS Clearance About the Role We're seeking a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of secure, mission-critical solutions within the Defence sector. Working in an Agile environment, you'll drive quality throughout the software life cycle, champion automation, and help engineering teams deliver reliable, resilient, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement automated testing solutions and frameworks. Champion Quality Engineering and shift-left testing practices. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines. Apply risk-based testing approaches across the delivery life cycle. Collaborate with Developers, Dev Ops Engineers and Architects to ensure quality is embedded from the outset. Contribute to functional, integration, performance, security and accessibility testing. Coach teams on testing best practices and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills Software Testing / Quality Engineering experience CI/CD pipeline experience Git Lab (or strong Git knowledge) Java & Spring Test automation framework experience Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Agile Scrum experience Quality-driven mindset Desirable Skills Playwright, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, OWASP ZAP, Sonar Qube, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Microservices, OpenAPI, WCAG and Dev Sec Ops  practices.
