HGV 1 Driver

We are recruiting professional LGV Drivers who want a genuine balance between a great income and high-quality home time. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of our prestigious national clients based at the Defence Fulfilment Centre in Hortonwood. This is temporary ongoing work with a potential of a temp-perm for the right candidate.

As an HGV 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

Shift options Day work night work (evening starts), trunking, or multi-drop options with varying flexibility

Driving arctic heavy goods vehicles with a variety of trailers depending on the load.

Long distance trunking work between customer sites (1-3 drops and back)

Trailer swapping

To be considered for this HGV Driver role you will need:

C+E Licence - CPC + DIGI Card

To be able to provide last 5 years’ worth of work history (referenced)

To have a clear enhanced DBS processed on your behalf

Have held your C+E license for at least 2 years, and have at least 6 months experience driving class 1 vehicles

ADR licence qualification for successful Temp to Perm Drivers

PAYE HGV Driver Pay Rates are as followed:

Days - £14.68ph

Nights - £19.52ph

Overtime (after 48 hours) - £22.02ph

Bank Holiday £29.36ph

Holiday accrual of 0.5 days for every full week worked.
