Head Start Teacher

Job Summary

Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC) is hiring a full‑time Head Start Teacher to work 35 hours per week with preschool children ages 3‑5.

• Collaborate with an Assistant Teacher to prepare and implement lesson plans.
• Administer developmental, behavioral, and sensory screenings.
• Design and deliver individualized lesson plans and teaching strategies, including for children with IEPs.
• Accurately utilize curriculum materials and computer software.
• Maintain child records and documentation.
• Participate in recruitment activities and enrollment processes.
• Follow all health and safety standards and provide active supervision of all children at all times.

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a correlated discipline (Associate degree preferred with experience teaching preschool children).
• Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical exam, and annual T.B. test.
• Additional education may be required to satisfy Head Start requirements.
