Early Head Start Teacher at Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC)
Position OverviewHead Start Birth-5 has an opening for a full-time Early Head Start Teacher position working 35 hours per week. Responsibilities include planning, organization, and implementation of education services for Early Head Start infants and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years old. The teacher will collaborate with a Co-Teacher and Classroom Aide to prepare and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, utilizing research‑based curriculum as designated by the Head Start Birth‑5 program.
The position also requires completing required developmental, behavioral, and sensory screenings within the allotted time and fulfilling duties related to the Head Start Performance Standards, Indiana Day Care Licensing Regulations, CACFP Guidelines, and Head Start Birth‑5 Forms and Procedures Manual.

- Childhood Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential.
- Training or equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. LHDC may provide on-the-job training to obtain appropriate credentials if necessary.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and experience teaching infants and toddlers is preferred.
- Must meet Head Start and Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical exam, and annual TB test.
