Process Engineer
Join a dynamic team specializing in the production of machined automotive parts, where no two days are the same. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in line modifications and installations, collaborating with various departments and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee entire installations and modifications of production lines.
- Work 80% on the manufacturing floor and 20% in the office environment.
- Perform mechanical and electrical work, including plant layout responsibilities.
- Manage a team ranging from 15 to 20 people.
- Conduct daily meetings to review and plan tasks.
- Communicate professionally with vendors and suppliers to handle orders and coordinate with machine vendors.
- Utilize equipment such as conveyors, CNC machines, and Fanuc robots.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Vocational or Technical Schooling in Engineering or Maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering technician or process/manufacturing engineering role.
- Experience with line installations and modifications.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree.
- Experience in electrical engineering.
The role is based in a large manufacturing plant in Tell City, with a smaller facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. While the plant features older machinery, newer equipment is being introduced. The environment is typical of an automotive manufacturing plant, temperature controlled but can get warm in summer months. The plant culture supports flexibility in start times and emphasizes continuous learning and improvement.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr. More information available.
