Community Support Officer

Our client is looking for a proactive and dedicated Community Support Officer to engage with residents in the Tembisa area. This role involves fostering community cohesion, identifying local needs, and facilitating access to essential services and programs. You will be a key point of contact, working both in the community and remotely to bridge gaps and empower residents. This hybrid position allows for flexibility while ensuring a strong on-the-ground presence within the community you serve, contributing to impactful local development initiatives and supporting vulnerable populations.

• Conduct outreach activities to engage with community members and build trust.
• Identify and assess community needs, reporting findings to management.
• Facilitate workshops and information sessions on relevant social issues and available resources.
• Assist residents in accessing government grants, social services, and healthcare.
• Collaborate with local organizations, NGOs, and government departments to coordinate support efforts.
• Maintain a database of community resources and client interactions.

• A relevant qualification in social sciences, community development, or a related field.
• Experience working within a community-based setting.
