Quick Lube Technician

Responsibilities

• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
• Identify the systems or components that may have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes, inspect, and refill fluid levels as needed.
• Ensure proper tire pressure, clean and lubricate fittings as necessary.
• Install a new oil drain plug and oil filter, and communicate oil levels to team members.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Replace worn parts proactively to prevent breakdowns or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and hand tools to perform various tasks.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and quick diagnostic skills
• Effective analytical and communication skills with a willingness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification or Technical degree (preferred)
• At least one year of experience in a service department
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
