A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about supporting students in a school setting. This assignment is onsite near Temecula, CA, with an immediate start and will run through the end of the current school year, covering a leave and making a significant impact on students development.
Key Qualifications & Experience- Valid California OT or COTA licensure required
- Previous pediatric or K-12 school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative special education team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and effective services to a diverse student population
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to approximately 80 students, addressing IEP goals and school-based needs
- COTAs will support two elementary schools, working 7.5 hours daily (with an unpaid lunch)
- OTs will serve those sites, supervise a COTA at one location, and work 8 hours daily (with an unpaid lunch)
- Complete accurate documentation and progress notes within required time frames
- Participate in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and provide training and support for educational staff
- Maintain compliance with district and legal requirements for service delivery
