Banquet Houseperson - South Coast Winery Resort & Spa

Responsibilities
  • Review event order to familiarize with menu and service procedures before function.
  • Complete required set up/preparation of function room/service area before scheduled activity.
  • Inspect all equipment before, during, and at the end of each function.
  • Report deviations from standards to Captain/Supervisor.
  • Inventory materials and supplies at shift start, obtain quantities needed to support forecasted levels of business.
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas.
  • Lift and store tables, chairs, and staging efficiently and safely.
  • Setup, maintain, and break down banquet/meeting rooms according to Banquet Event Order.
  • Vacuum floors, clean walls, windows, and mirrors in event space and surrounding public areas.
  • Ensure supplies available per Banquet Event Order; equipment set up and functioning properly.
  • Track event supplies, equipment and carefully store furnishings when not in use.
  • Follow directions from banquet event orders for assigned banquet/meetings.
  • Report needed repairs of unsafe equipment or conditions.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Monitor guests, anticipate needs, respond to requests and ensure satisfaction.
  • Clear tables and break down function rooms after banquet food service activity.
  • Complete assigned end of shift duties.
  • Assist other staff members as needed to ensure optimum service to all guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
