Litigation Paralegal

We are a specialized Temecula law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team and begin contributing from day one in employment and trust litigation cases. • Full-time hourly position; will consider part-time arrangement for the right candidate
• We offer a competitive salary based on skillset and experience; salary range is $30-$35 per hour, plus incentives and bonuses

• Manage reasonable caseload of civil litigation and trust litigation matters.
• Perform legal research and work with attorneys to develop and present legal arguments.
• Complete legal forms and draft documents, including pleadings, discovery and responses, motions, status reports, settlement agreements, and other case filings.
• Manage discovery and litigation calendar and track deadlines.
• Ensure attorneys are prepared for court appearances through trial and assist in the courtroom.
• Interact with clients, court clerks, probate examiners, opposing parties, and opposing counsel.
• Minimum billable hours: 1,400 per year for full-time (we expect high-quality work).

• Must meet Business & Professions Code  definition of Paralegal.
• 3+ years recent hands-on experience with cases filed in California courts; probate court experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of the California Rules of Court and Code of Civil Procedure a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 required.
• Familiarity with Clio Grow and Clio Manage preferred.
• Outstanding attention to detail, superior communication skills, and practical organizational skills are important for this position.
