Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 annually (DOE + bonuses)

About the Role

BBSI is recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm seeking an Employment Attorney to join their growing team in Temecula, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who is passionate about employment law and eager to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The firm partners with California employers to provide strategic legal counsel, protect against risk, and support long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent California employers in matters involving state labor and employment laws.
  • Handle litigation matters including court appearances, mediations, and depositions.
  • Draft and customize employment agreements, policies, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead legal strategy and provide counsel with the support of a dedicated team.
  • Manage a reasonable caseload that focuses on quality over excessive billable hours.
  • Billable Expectation:
    Full-time attorneys target 1,450 billed and collected hours annually. Origination is not required but is rewarded.

Qualifications

  • Active member of the California Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of California employment law litigation experience (plaintiff or defense).
  • Strong understanding of state employment law; federal experience is a plus.
  • Ethical, driven, and motivated to provide exceptional client service.
  • Collaborative and proactive with a growth mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $125,000–$150,000 DOE, plus bonuses and incentives (OTE up to $175,000).
