Registered Nurse; RN-Cath Lab-Part Time -Temecula Valley Hospital

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Reporting to the Director of Cardiac Services or designated supervisors, the RN performs initial assessment, communicates abnormal findings, and collaborates with anesthesia and specialists. The RN identifies needs for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation and tolerance of diagnostic testing or scheduled procedures.

• Perform initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation.
• Pre‑screen patient lab work, mobility, allergies, and medication history before invasive diagnostic testing or procedures.
• Notify the physician promptly if the schedule of an invasive test or procedure is impacted by assessment findings.
• Execute interventions tailored to the patient’s individual needs to ensure safe and successful invasive diagnostic testing or procedures.
• Document nursing interventions, patient teaching, and develop a plan of discharge or transfer.

Five years of critical care experience required; procedure experience preferred.
Interventional Neurology and/or EP experience strongly preferred.
Current California RN license (maintain current), BSN preferred.
BLS (maintain current AHA), ACLS (maintain current AHA).
