The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Department Director as needed with department operational responsibilities in providing overall leadership and direction for the units or areas of responsibility. Acts as a role model for coordinating and integrating interdepartmental services. Displays positive traits and qualities needed for a successful supervisor; has the ability to work with changes in the environment and participate as a team player.
Manages monthly staff schedule to maintain adequate daily staffing levels. Fills in as needed to support department staffing needs. Actively participates in the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all personnel.
- Two (2) years of recent CVOR specific experience required
- Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in CVOR preferred
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse with current California RN license
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
