Agricultural Production Associate

Job Description

• Follow proper procedures for routine care of all property vegetable gardens.
• Perform routine gardening functions, including pruning, trimming, thinning, watering, fertilizing, spraying, tying and staking, seeding, planting, and transplanting.
• Maintain the professional appearance of sidewalks and pathways adjacent to the vegetable gardens.
• Implement a multi‑year/season garden plan.
• Execute food and crop production goals for on‑site culinary use.
• Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Promote and comply with all Temecula Creek Inn policies and procedures.
• Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
• Practice safe work habits and avoid injury to self and others, including safe operation of all power‑driven machinery.
• Ensure safe work practices of all golf course maintenance staff, complying with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and proper use and handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.
• Attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
• Perform other tasks, including cross‑training, as directed.

To schedule and facilitate the planting, transplanting, and care of the vegetable garden on hotel property.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• English fluency required;
  Spanish fluency helpful.
• Hands‑on working knowledge of all necessary equipment and the proper application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
• Minimum one year experience in all aspects of gardening, including a broad knowledge of plant varieties and their care.
• Hotel experience preferred.

• Ability to work productively with little supervision.

Stands/walks approximately 80% of shift; sits/drives approximately 20% of shift. May be required to work at extreme heights. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing between 50 and 80 lbs over short distances. Bends, stoops, reaches, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Requires flexibility, good reflexes, and ability to withstand prolonged exposure to sun.
