As an Applebee's® Assistant Manager, you will oversee all day‑to‑day operations, inspire guests and staff, solve problems, manage stress, and enjoy the experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines.
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values.
  • Responds promptly to and corrects all verbal guest complaints.
  • Prioritizes guest contact through required table visits as per Flynn Applebee's standards.
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels.
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meets company standards via line checks.
  • Schedules employees to meet sales demands.
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs.
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Performs routine maintenance and reports repairs to General Manager or Area Director.
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals for potential team members and managers.
  • Promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.
  • Holds staff training sessions, orientation, meetings, and implements company policy.
  • Uses One‑on‑One and performance documentation to develop employees.
  • Assesses employee efficiency, provides feedback, and supports development.
  • Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective actions.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Controls costs in assigned department.
  • Complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Drives bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at AD/GM request.
  • Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
  • Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards.
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees.
  • Develops proficiency in store‑related technology.
  • Willingness to work in all positions and assist as needed, including cooking, expo, seating, bartending.
  • Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.
Education and Experience
  • At least 2–3 years restaurant management experience.
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are plus.

Compensation: Applebee's® Assistant Managers: $20.98 to $27.27 per hour, approx. $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50‑hour work week. Potential monthly bonus, where applicable by location.

Physical Standards
  • Work various shifts, including weekends.
  • Stand and move for up to 10 hours.
  • Lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Read and write to facilitate communication; possess finger and hand dexterity for small tools and equipment.
