Build the systems that keep California fueled
ICC UST Installation and Retrofit certification and 3 years of experience (required)
Tank Specialists of California designs, installs, and removes underground and above ground fuel systems for fueling stations, fleet yards, emergency generators, and critical infrastructure across the state. We're a Temecula-based company with a reputation built on doing complicated, code-heavy work correctly the first time.
We're hiring a Foreman/Supervisor to lead one of our installation and removal crews. If you hold your ICC UST Installation and Retrofit certification and you'd rather run the job than wait for direction, this is a long-term seat with real ownership.
What you'll do- Lead a crew of skilled tradespeople on UST and AST installation, retrofit, and removal projects
- Run the job in the field: sequencing, manpower, materials, equipment, and daily production
- Perform and oversee the full scope of fuel system work — plumbing, electrical, excavation and grading, and light concrete
- Keep work compliant with fire code, manufacturer specs, and inspection requirements
- Communicate directly with our office, inspectors, general contractors, and clients
- Keep the job safe, clean, and on schedule
- ICC UST Installation and Retrofit certification (required) — plus manufacturer certifications, or willingness to obtain them
- Hands-on UST/AST removal and installation experience
- Proven ability to lead a crew and hold people to a standard
- Strong organizational skills and comfort in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record (required for the company service truck)
- Willingness to travel to out-of-town projects within California
- High school diploma or GED
- Must currently live in Southern California, or be willing to relocate — relocation assistance may be available
- Take-home truck, tools, and all work-related fuel paid
- Steady, year-round work — full backlog, and we promote from the field
- Certification and training paid for
- Medical and dental coverage
- 401(k) program
- 7 paid holidays per year
- 5 paid sick days per year
- All travel and lodging expenses covered for out-of-town work
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with higher rates on public works projects
This isn't general construction. Fuel systems are a specialty trade with a shrinking pool of qualified people, which means the skills you build here make you more valuable every year. Our foremen are trusted to run their jobs, not micromanaged.
