Lead Accounting Controller

W B Melback Corporation seeks an experienced Accounting Controller to lead financial operations in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario. This role supports project-based financial strategies and tightens financial control.

The Accounting Controller will drive daily accounting tasks and reporting while collaborating with project teams. Experience in construction, industrial services, or project-based accounting is crucial. As part of a company with over 30 years in the industry, your leadership will enhance financial performance and operational efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain accuracy in general ledger and account reconciliations

• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and projections

• Analyze financial performance and deliver operational insights

Requirements:

• CPA designation preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years in accounting leadership roles

• Experience in construction or project-based accounting strongly preferred

• Knowledge of job costing and financial reporting
