Position SummaryEducational Assistants provide classroom support to students based on their individual academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. This includes supporting students to access the curriculum and meet their full potential in both integrated and high support settings.
QualificationsPost‑secondary education in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, or related field, and/or equivalent. Demonstrated experience working with students with special education needs of varying ages, preferably in a school setting.
CompensationSalary in accordance with the current OSSTF‑EA collective agreement
$25.76 per hour - $30.55 per hour (plus vacation pay)
Additional InformationInternal applicants shall provide a covering letter indicating the position to which they are applying, a complete resume, a copy of their most recent performance appraisal (if applicable), a letter of support from their immediate supervisor, and a list of three references (one which must be the current supervisor).
