Location: New Liskeard
Keep DSB1 buildings clean and safe during a temporary full-time afternoon shift requiring cleaning skills and physical ability.
The Custodian 1 maintains Board buildings for students, staff, and visitors. This temporary, full-time position works 40 hours weekly from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Duties include routine cleaning and related tasks supporting a healthy environment, with cleaning equipment, safety procedures, and physical work central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning throughout the Board's buildings
Complete related tasks supporting safe, clean environments
Use cleaning materials and equipment efficiently
Perform medium to heavy physical labor with assistance
Requirements:
High School diploma or general degree (GED)
Current WHMIS certificate
Ability to interpret safety and maintenance instructions
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Physical ability to perform medium to heavy work tasks
Apply your cleaning equipment knowledge, WHMIS certification, and physical ability as a temporary full-time DSB1 Custodian 1.
