Key Responsibilities:
Manage tax engagements from initial planning through completion for a diverse portfolio of clients
Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services
Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on personalized service and long-term growth
Collaborate with team members to improve internal processes and contribute to firm-wide initiatives
Support junior staff and review work as needed
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
Assist with business development by identifying opportunities for new or expanded client services
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Active CPA license (required for consideration and necessary for future partnership)
Extensive experience in public accounting with a strong emphasis in tax (individual and business)
Ability to manage client engagements independently from start to finish
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Willingness to be in the office regularly, especially during the initial trust-building period
Commitment to high standards of integrity and client service
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a tax-focused role within a public accounting firm
Prior experience managing a book of business or client portfolio
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Interest in growing into a partner-level role within the next 5–10 years (potentially sooner for the right candidate)

Location and Work Style:
Location: Office-based
Work Type: Primarily on-site with the potential for hybrid flexibility after trust is established
Typical workweeks of 40 hours outside of tax season
Reduced summer hours, including Fridays off when workload allows
Targeting 55–60 hours/week during tax season
