Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to step into a critical operational role within a fast-growing, high-volume organization. This is a backfill position for a trusted team member who is departing after earning a more senior opportunity, and the team is moving with urgency to ensure continuity.

This role is well‑suited for an experienced, hands‑on accountant who thrives in operational ownership
, values accuracy, and wants visibility into leadership and decision‑making. The environment is complex, fast‑paced, and performance‑driven—with strong support and clear expectations.

This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with the AP function and broader finance team.

Note: This role is 100% on‑site and requires strong technical and cognitive capability.

Key Responsibilities Core Operational Accounting

• Own the accounts payable and disbursements cycle
• Manage expense reporting and corporate credit card administration
• Account for non‑labor operating expenses
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid accounting

Technical & Specialized Accounting

• Perform lease accounting under ASC 842
• Ensure accurate classification, documentation, and compliance

Close & Cross‑Functional Support

• Support month‑end close and related reconciliations
• Partner closely with AP and finance leadership
• Identify and support process improvements
• Provide informal guidance or support to junior staff as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience
• Strong background in operational accounting
• Hands‑on experience with AP, disbursements, and close
• Exposure to lease accounting (ASC 842)
• High attention to detail and accountability
• CPA a strong plus, but not required
