Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for the general ledger and monthly close process, including recurring and non-recurring journal entries and related account reconciliations. This will include all matters related to these roles that are required of publicly traded companies, including participation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal skills are critical.

• General ledger (GL) accounting for multiple business sites within Enpro, including preparation of journal entries and supporting the monthly accounting close process
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Support reconciliations of intercompany account balances with other Enpro divisions
• Support preparation of quarter-end and year-end Reporting Packages to support SEC reporting
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate workflows, apply best practices, and help drive greater efficiency across accounting operations.
• Upload and maintenance of ledgers in the company-wide consolidation module (One Stream)

  Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum Experience:
  • Up to 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or in a publicly traded company’s accounting function
  • Strong computer skills, including detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CPA candidate or interest in pursuing the license
• Able to travel up to 10% of the time as business needs require.
